Stradun and Old City Stone Walls

No one will miss the walk down the street of Stradun, because he would lose an unforgettable encounter with the city. It was built after the great earthquake of 1667. in the accelerated reconstructure program, the city, got his calm face and modest stone architecture, yet dignified and beautiful in its simplicity. The most recognizable landmark that defines the physiognomy of the historic city of Dubrovnik and gives it the typical, remarkable look are its intact city walls, which in total length of 1940 meters surround the city. This complex is one of the most solid fortress of the Mediterranean, is composed of a series of forts, bastions, casemates, towers and fortresses.
